How to Vote for an RSPS and Get Your Rewards
Vote for your favorite RSPS on the RunePort website or through Discord. This guide covers both methods, how often you can vote, how rewards work, and what to do if a reward doesn't arrive.
Voting takes less than a minute. It helps a server you enjoy climb the rankings, and many servers give you an in-game reward for it. You can vote on the RunePort website or with the RunePort bot on Discord. No account is needed for the website.
Vote on the website
- Find your server on the RSPS toplist and press Vote.
- Check the RSPS username box and enter your in-game name exactly as it appears in the game.
- Complete the quick bot check.
- Press Submit Vote. You'll see a message confirming the vote was counted, along with when you can vote again.
Vote on Discord
If a server is verified on RunePort, you can vote using the RunePort bot.
- Link your in-game name (first time only). In that server's Discord, run
/rp linkand enter your name in thersps_namebox. Names are saved per server, so you can use a different one on each. - Vote. Run
/rp votein that server's Discord.
You can also vote from any other Discord server that has the bot, including the RunePort Discord. Fill in the server option on both /rp link and /rp vote to pick your listing by name.

Website or Discord?
| Website | Discord bot | |
|---|---|---|
| Needs an account | No | A Discord account |
| Counts toward the rankings | Yes | Yes |
| Builds your voting streak | No | Yes |
| Lets you write a review | No | Yes |
| Vote reminders | Yes, after signing in with Discord | Yes |
Discord votes are tied to your Discord account, which is why only they can build a streak on your player profile and unlock reviews.
How often can you vote?
- The same server: once every 12 hours.
- Different servers: up to 2 separate servers per day.
On the website, these limits apply to both your internet connection and your in-game name. On Discord, they apply to your Discord account and your in-game name. If you share a connection with someone who plays the same server, one of you can vote through Discord instead.
Get a reminder
After you vote on the website, choose Sign in with Discord to get a reminder, or press the reminder button on the bot's reply. The bot will send you one direct message when you can vote again. It can only message you if you share a Discord server with it, such as the RunePort Discord.
How vote rewards work
RunePort doesn't give out the rewards. When you vote, RunePort notifies the game server, and the server then delivers whatever reward its owner has set up. This connection is called a callback, and not every server has one. What you receive, and how you claim it, is decided by each server.
Common problems
My reward didn't arrive
- Check that you voted with your exact in-game name.
- Check how that server delivers rewards. Some need you to log in or use an in-game command.
- Ask in the server's Discord whether it has vote rewards set up. Only the server's staff can check or resend a reward.
"This IP has already hearted this server in the last 12 hours"
Someone on your connection has already voted for this server. Try again after the 12 hours are up. "Hearted" is simply another word for voted.
"You can vote for up to 2 separate servers per day"
You've reached the daily limit. Come back tomorrow.
"Please wait a moment before voting"
You pressed the button very quickly after the page opened. Wait a few seconds and try again.
"Vote session expired"
The page was left open too long. Refresh it and vote again.
"Security check expired or was already used"
Complete the bot check again, then resubmit your vote.
"This server isn't a verified RunePort listing"
Discord voting only works for verified listings. You can still vote for the server on the website.
"Couldn't count that vote" on Discord
You may have reached the daily limit, or your Discord account may be too new to vote. Try again tomorrow, or vote on the website instead.
Why your vote matters
Votes and page views both feed a server's Rank Score, which rewards steady activity over time and can't be bought. A regular vote from you does more for a server than you might expect.
